We are pleased to bring you another update on the RPL Pilot Project that is underway. As previously described, RPL is a process that provides for the assessment and recognition of learning that has been acquired through experience and/or education in a particular field.

The Association of Early Childhood Educators of Nova Scotia (AECENS) recognizes that ECEs are the key ingredient in determining quality in Early Childhood Learning and Child Care Programs. AECENS would like to hear from you if there is an Early Childhood Educator or a Program that you would like to nominate for one of the following awards:
- A - ECCE 20 + Service Program Award - Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) 20 + Service Award for Programs (Deadline April 30th)
- B - Early Childhood Education Commitment to Care Service Award (Must be a member of AECENS) (Deadline April 30th)
- C - Caring at Work Award are accepted anytime throughout the year and
- D - ECLC Practice and Program Nomination (Deadline April 9th)
The awards will be presented at the May 29th Awards and Recognition Gala.
Association of Early Childhood Educators of Nova Scotia (AECENS) (formerly the Nova Scotia Child Care Association (AECENS)) understands and supports current initiatives by the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development in their staffing of Pre-Primary Programs with Early Childhood Educators.
